Viral Intent Barely Alive Series Short Dominic eBook BR Paulson

When I first started reading this series, I was always interested in know why certain characters were the way they were. Dominic was one of those characters. When I found out that Bonnie was doing a short story for him, I was thrilled. Bonnie and I have a really cool/awesome friendship and business relationship and I was able to design the covers for this series :) Anyway, back to the book. This novella honestly could have been turned into a whole book if she wanted to. There are so many layers to Dominic you almost crave more.

After reading this book, I honestly feel that I understand him so much more. Not that I agree with his way of thinking, but I definitely see where his hatred for women comes from, and it is almost a just hatred. Even though its not fair to generalize, what happened to him almost makes you feel bad for him and want to comfort him.

I love the scene in the kitchen with Dominic and his mother and father. People who have read this will know, its comical what happens in a morbid bizarre way. But I loved it. No remorse, I just love it.

I don't think this is a book you'd have to read prior to starting the series, but it is one you should read while reading this series, to understand how Dominic became the monster that he is in the series! Bravo Bonnie!

Viral Intent Barely Alive Series Short Dominic eBook BR Paulson Reviews

When reading the Barely Alive series I pretty much hated Dominic. I mean, he created zombies and seemed to like it. I figured after I read this, I would still hate him.

Yes and no. He's still vile, creepy, crazy, and will hurt just about anyone who gets in his way. But he really loves his Dad. To the point where he's willing to do anything for him. And I do mean ANYTHING.

Plus Dominic's Mom makes you really feel bad for him. Alot. I wanted to bitch slap her into outer space!

It's a short read, but fun. Gives you some incite into Dominic. I had no complaints except I wish it was longer. I just didn't want it to end!
"Viral Intent" is the prequel to the Barely Alive series by Bonnie R. Paulson, and explains the whole start to the Zombie infection. I think it's better to read the series first and come back to this one, rather than start here and move through the books. This is a short read of about 30 pages or less.

Dominic was a scientist intent on curing his father of Lou Gehrig's disease, but through a set of uncontrollable circumstances he was set on a different path. Like the saying goes "The path to hell is paved with good intentions."
